Hello all and thanks for a great month.

What a fantastic month we've had here at the In Focus Learning Center. Our composition students rocketed, our basic courses soared and our workshops proved amazing!!!
What wonderful images and what great fun!!! Congrats gang on a fantastic job.

We'd also like to take a moment and thank everyone who took advantage of our special summer 2-day workshops over the last three months. These inexpensive condensed versions of our five-session courses proved quite popular — look for them to return in earnest next summer. If you missed out on one however and like the idea of the shortened schedule and lower prices we still have spaces remaining in our two-day Black and White (beginning Oct. 3) and our Macro (beginning Oct. 11) workshops.

Check out their brochures for more information. NOTE: Next month we return to our full five-session schedules.

NEWS:
In Focus II: A Field Guide to Composition returns this weekend for another trip to the heart of message building. This course is very quickly becoming one of our most highly requested. Keep in mind that this will be your last chance to score a spot in this course - which is a prerequisite for our highly anticipated and rare IN FOCUS III class, coming in November.

Yes, you heard me right ... IN FOCUS III is finally here. While we won't be taking advance reservations, as of yet, watch for updates coming soon to the Websites and in your in box.

In Focus III is going to be one fantastic course. Taking a cue from In Focus II, this new advanced In Focus design course takes it's methodology outdoors for three of the five sessions. Completely revamped from the floor up this new class picks up right from right where the new IN FOCUS II course ends and for the first time we'll dive deep into critique. You will not believe what we'll be offering with this class — a new blog, new assignments and more. But, keep in mind that only people who have completed IN FOCUS II will be able to attend. Again, if you're interested in pushing your photography and art to the next level by taking In Focus III, you have to take In Focus II first. In Focus II: A Field Guide to Composition begins this weekend, there are still a few spaces left.

Thanks: I would also like to thank all of our new Adult Education Students for striving so hard through their introduction to the In Focus World. What amazing people we have and what wonderful images already. The progress they've made in just a few weeks is inspirational to say the least. What a welcome addition to the In Focus family!

In Focus I Mastering the Mechanics (our flagship course) begins this weekend as well and with only four spots left it's bound to fill soon. If you've got friends or family that want to learn what it takes to be an artist with their camera or just want to garner a firm understanding of the basics this is (as you know) the class to be in. Click here for an introduction.

Lecture:
If someone is interested (or has family or a loved one interested in real In Focus photography) we are offering a quick three hour lecture through Poway this weekend. It's a super-saturday at the Foothills adult center as the In Focus Learning Center returns with its Painting with a Lens course. This is the PERFECT class for someone interested in learning to think and shoot outside of the box. Plus it's super cheap!!! It's $25 for the morning course ... Robin and I will be lecturing there from 9 a.m. to noon. Click here to check out their Super Saturday offerings.

After that, on Saturday, Robin and I shoot up to Palomar Mountain for our second day of fun with our landscape workshop as we explore the observatory and Doane Pond. We are really looking forward to our In Focus Day!!!

In two weeks we also begin Flash II and are very excited about it. We've had such amazing support and enthusiasm for our regular flash course that we just had to push the boundaries. In this class we delve deep into the technques needed to make the entire world your workable studio. This is going to be great, but keep in mind that Flash I is a prerequisite. We do have just a few spaces left in that class as well.

Well, this is going to be quite the weekend and as you can see, quite the month for learning and fun. I hope to see you all out in the field. Good Shooting!!!
