Here's a sample from today's in-class assignment of capturing something in color and then capturing it again in monochrome and playing with the different internal colored filters. It's amazing to see how parts of the picture become lighter or darker, depending on their original color and the color of the internal filter you use.
Notice how the tones in the table & chairs, as well as the door, change - especially the writing on the door. Sometimes it appears like a dark door with light writing and with a switch of the filter, it appears like a light door with dark writing. It was a fun workshop that I highly recommend - I can't wait to play more in black & white now that I know the options I have to work with and have learned how to visualize in a new way! Thanks Rod & Robin!
